These Charter members of our Lodge came from a wide variety of backgrounds and were all very instrumental in the formation and growth of Vista Lodge, as well the Vista Township. Some of the backgrounds of Brothers for whom I was able to get information are as follows:
Sherman H. Freeman, our 2nd Master - Superintendent, Vista Unified School District - 1936 - 1947. President Vista Community Association.
Wright C. Bissinger, our 3rd Master - Manager of the First National Bank of Vista which opened in November 1927.
Louis A. Castellani, our 4th Master - Businessman
Alex McDougall, 5th Master - McDougall's Drug Store, President Vista Chamber of Commerce, Vista Volunteer Fire Department. He married Miss Julia Pelley - Miss Vista 1929.
Emil J. Kleinsmith, Secretary - Kleinsmith's Market, and Realtor.
William F. Hanes, Tiler - Retired Los Angeles Police Department, Fire District Commissioner, Automobile Dealer.
Dale E. Wood, Organist - Realtor, Vista Irrigation District.
